Fancy buildings can bring issues to an area, but they often fail to capture its locality. The vicinity of the current site is adorned with colorful signboards. While constructing a more extravagant landmark building here might reflect some of the surrounding atmosphere, it may not truly serve as a distinctive landmark. Hence, we contemplated the archetype of a landmark. Stonehenge can be considered humanity’s quintessential landmark. Instead of erecting a structure that defies the natural essence of Andorra, where majestic mountains encircle and rivers meander, we envisioned incorporating a small stone from the La Vaira River, integrating it as part of nature.
The plaza, situated at the heart of the small stone, serves as the venue for Andorra’s traditional music and dance festival. Occasionally, an orchestra may be invited to provide background music against the backdrop of Andorra’s stunning scenery. The auditory experience here turns into a visual experience as it enters the exhibition room inside the stone.
